How To Watch a Video with Subtitles

We provide a hardcoded video with burned-in subtitles for your convenience. However, if you prefer to watch the video using the separate .srt subtitle file, the popular [VLC Media Player] is an excellent option.

📂 Automatic Subtitle Loading in VLC

If the video and the .srt file have the same name and are saved in the same folder, VLC will automatically display the subtitles when the video starts.

Example:

myvideo.mp4
myvideo.srt

🛠️ Manually Loading Subtitles in VLC

If the video and the .srt file do not match in name or are stored in different locations, you can load the subtitles manually.

Step‑by‑Step:

  1. Open VLC Media Player and start playing your video.
  2. In the top menu, click Subtitle.
  3. Select Add Subtitle File.
  4. Browse to the location of your .srt file and select it.
  5. The subtitles will now appear on your video.
